RAIN’s CSR initiatives focus on four key areas: health, education, rural development and environment.
RAIN has established the Priya Cement Free Primary Hospital near its cement facilities in Ramapuram Village, Mellacheruvu Mandal, Nalgonda Dist., Telangana State, India and Boincheruvupalli Village, Kurnool Dist., Andhra Pradesh, India. The hospital also provides emergency ambulance facilities for patients. In addition to providing medical care, the hospitals conduct routine health-related initiatives such as de-addiction counselling and creating awareness about health education in marginalized communities. The hospitals also provide emergency ambulance services for patients.
Recognizing the role education plays in social transformation, RAIN operates high schools in English Medium at Ramapuram Village, Mellacheruvu Mandal, Nalgonda Dist., Telangana State, India and Boincheruvupalli Village, Kurnool Dist., Andhra Pradesh, India. After completion of school education, the students are encouraged to enroll for college.
RAIN provided scholarships to 2,409 economically challenged merit students pursuing 11th and 12th standard (10+2) in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states, India.
Rural developmental initiatives
RAIN undertakes development projects that contribute to the overall development of communities around its production facilities. In co-operation with local communities in India, Rain promotes and supports initiatives taken by local bodies and government agencies to identify, adopt and support for development and growth.
